Each player starts with a certain amount of chips (money) to place into the pot. There are then several betting intervals, or rounds, during which each player may either call a bet by putting the same amount into the pot as the player who made the bet, raise it by putting more than the previous player’s stake into the pot, or fold. If a player folds, they must forfeit their chips to the player who made the last bet.<\/p>\n
