Using the PICO research design, the studies were analysed for population, intervention comparison and outcome. In terms of outcome, the studies were divided into online nonproblematic and problem gamblers, as well as online versus offline nonproblematic gamblers. In addition, the study included the use of qualitative methods to explore underlying factors that may be associated with online gambling.
